Obituary of John Joseph McDonaugh, Jr.

Mr. John "Jack" Joseph McDonaugh, Jr., passed away with his beloved wife beside him on Saturday, March 23, 2024. Military honors will be rendered in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 1:30 PM. A visitation for friends and family will immediately follow the service until 5:00 pm. 

Jack was born on September 24, 1953 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Mr. John Joseph McDonaugh, Sr. and Dolores May Logue McDonaugh. In addition to his parents, he is preceded by his sisters: Kathy, Karen, and Janet. 
Jack devoted his life to serving his country, community, and family. He enlisted into the United States Navy and was a proud veteran. He enjoyed presenting other veterans with Challenge Coins and collecting memorabilia. Most importantly, Jack cherished the times he spent with his family and friends. After the military, Jack settled down and worked at Mercury Marine for several years. Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and dear friend who will be deeply missed.

Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Barbara McDonaugh; children: Lacey McDonaugh and Carrie Bassman; stepchildren: Chris Bohn, Sarah Bohn, and Jeffery Bohn; grandchildren: Jordan Bohn, Ethan Bohn, Amir Bestman, Amayah Bestman, and Cassie Bessman; brothers: Michael McDonaugh and Joey McDonaugh, and a host of extended friends and family.
