Fort Valley, GA – On Monday, May 7, 2018, Waylon Thomas Darby “Wam Bam” gained his angel wings. He was 20 months and 2 weeks old and the light of his parents’ lives. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, May 12, 2018 in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday evening, May 11, 2018 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Following the services, the family will release balloons in remembrance of Waylon.

Waylon’s precious life began on August 19, 2016 in Macon, GA. He was a sweet, fun loving, adventurous little boy who adored his family and was always giving away hugs and kisses. He loved big trucks, watching his favorite show The Little Red Tractor, being outside, and playing with his puppy “D”. Waylon’s favorite part of each day was waiting on his daddy to get home from work and he was always so excited as soon as he walked through the door. Some of his favorite foods were chicken nuggets, yogurt, cheese grits, Kool-Aid Jammers, popsicles, and his favorite candy was gummy bear lifesavers. He had a mischievous side and loved pulling the vents out of the floors which his family always seemed to trip and fall into. He loved and adored both of his Paw-Paw’s and always wanted to be with them. Waylon brought so much joy and love to his family and his sweet spirit will be sorely missed by all.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving parents, Thomas and Randi Darby; maternal grandparents, Randy and Barbara Shaw; paternal grandparents, Festus Deran and Lana Darby; Nene, Betty Hortman; aunts and uncles, Shawn Pearce, Ryan Pearce, Candice Shaw (Uncle B), Matt Brown, Lynn Darby, Gustavo Escobar, Nora Hortman ; beloved cousins, Justin, Wyatt (his bubba), Grace, Ryleigh, Anistyn, Addi, Rae; and God parents, Rusty and Taylor Shaw.
